Lawson Chase was tasked by Burford Capital, the world’s largest litigation fund, to support them to hire a VP of Business Development who could support the fund in originating new business within US law firms and corporates.

It was essential for Burford that the candidate had a background in litigation funding and could ramp up originations quickly.

We successfully supported the firm to hire a seasoned business originator with a track record of originating and closing over $250mil in litigation finance transactions from a core competitor in the litigation fund ecosystem.
