Overview
A global corporate intelligence and investigations firm is currently looking to appoint an Associate Director to join its London, Washington DC, Zurich or Singapore offices.
The Associate Director works closely with Directors to meet growth targets and are skilled in business development. They play a key role in developing talent across the business through quality oversight of higher risk projects. The Associate Director also fulfils a combination of operational, business development and mentoring roles, deputising where necessary for their Director. They deliver exceptionally high quality work product and professional service, setting standards for both within their team. The role requires strong organisation skills, excellent standards of written and spoken English (specifically in proposal and report drafting), extensive subject matter expertise, strong training skills and administrative discipline.
Key responsibilities
- Casework: 30%
- Deliver exceptionally high quality, client-ready work product by successfully managing all aspects of the investigative process
- Quality control: 30%
- Assume full responsibility for quality of all work product produced by the project team including client reports, updates, proposals and, where appropriate, marketing and business development content
- Maintain consistently excellent standards of client service and communication throughout the project team
- Business development & marketing: 20%
- Working with the Director of BI, EMEA & Asia, devise appropriate marketing and business development strategies for the team
- Work with the Marketing department to develop actionable content and events in support of those strategies
- Conduct sales and client meetings, attend and present at events, and articulate expertly team and company capabilities
- Project management (financial & administrative): 10%
- Ensure utilisation and recovery targets are met or
- Exceeded for each project, and manage average team debtor days to a maximum of 45 days
- Ensure that project team members accurately and promptly record their case activities in timesheets
- Ensure other KPIs are met or exceeded, including subcontractor spend, labour costs, average project rate and other criterion agreed with Directors and Finance
- Ensure that all proprietary information is saved and shared, as prescribed in company guidelines
- Champion the successful adoption of new work processes and technologies
- Facilitate effective and productive liaison with other departments of the company, including Business Services and Marketing
- People development: 10%
- Encourage and facilitate expansion of industry leading intelligence and information gathering assets
- Take part in interviewing, hiring and training colleagues
- Contribute to performance evaluations for project team members

Additional Information
Some working outside normal office hours may be required depending on client demands. Some overseas travel may be required.
