      A leading international law firm is seeking an Associate Director (Talent Acquisition) to join its New York office.

      Under the direct supervision of the Managing Director of Talent Acquisition, this role will be responsible for overseeing our lateral partner and associate recruiting efforts.


      In this capacity, the Associate Director, Talent Acquisition will:


      • Lead the lateral partner candidate recruiting process:
        • Serve as key point of contact for Firm management with regard to overall lateral partner hiring process;
        • Serve as main point of contact for search firms and negotiate fee agreements;
        • Supervise and lead lateral partner hiring team as candidates transition through hiring process;
        • Draft lateral partner memoranda; and
        • Oversee lateral partner onboarding process.
      • Supervise lateral associate candidate recruiting process:
        • Manage two senior recruiters, providing feedback and support as needed.
      • Initiate and seek approval for new lateral associate searches and regularly provide status updates to Firm Leadership, Executive Team, Chief Talent Officer and Managing Director of Talent Acquisition on all searches and candidates;
      • Update internal Department Heads with candidate information as appropriate;
      • Regularly meet with Managing Director of Talent Acquisition to provide updates, review current department processes and make recommendations for improvement;
      • Oversee lateral recruiting budgeting process on an annual basis;
      • Work beyond scheduled hours as required, including assisting with time sensitive requests in the evenings and/or on weekends; and
      • Handle additional related projects, as assigned.

      • Proven ability to lead projects and collaborate in a complex matrixed organization;
      • Exceptional project and time management skills;
      • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook; and
      • Maintain strict confidentiality.
      • Bachelor’s degree (required);
      • At least 10 years work experience (required), preferably in a law firm or other professional services organization; and
      • At least 5 years of law firm recruiting experience (required).
