The core of the firm’s effort is rigorous research into a wide range of market anomalies, fueled by unparalleled access to a wide range of publicly available data sources.

       

      The firm is looking for a Market Data Associate to join the team to support the firm’s global real-time, reference, and fundamental market data needs. In this role, you will support the expanding data requirements and strategic business initiatives by working directly with investment professionals and others across the firm.

       

      This is a high impact role requiring drive, enthusiasm, and dynamism. The role requires exceptional internal stakeholder management. A key component will be strong interpersonal skills. Given the size of spend and critical nature of market data, strong relationship management skills with suppliers is essential.

       

      The Global Market Data team manages the Firm’s global procurement relationships with providers of market data content and services while partnering with Analysts and business units to evaluate and understand business market data requirements. This role includes strategic data provider relationship management, advisor to business units, negotiation, and execution of data agreements.

       

      Key Responsibilities

      • Manage relationships with market data providers and assist with onboarding new vendors and products.
      • Coordinate and fulfill market data requests with vendors and internal support functions, ensuring timely service that is aligned with business, contractual, and compliance requirements.
      • Monitor service change notifications and alerts from exchanges and other key market data suppliers. Including effectively communicate to internal stakeholders.
      • Data feed notification management and coordination across multiple internal and external partners.
      • Collaborate with the business, Compliance, and Legal to negotiate commercial and legal terms with data providers, mitigate business risk, and set priorities for contract execution.
      • Work cross-functionally to communicate requirements around the control and distribution of data to ensure that usage of market data does not breach third-party supplier agreements.
      • Stay current on market data providers and product offerings. Identify, evaluate, and introduce new sources to relevant groups within the Firm.
      • Develop and maintain trusted partnerships with investment professionals and other internal data consumers.
      • Assist with administration of real-time data feed permissions for individuals and applications.

       

      Skills, Knowledge & Experience

      • A bachelor’s degree with demonstrated academic excellence.
      • 5+ years of experience with exposure to market data providers and services.
      • Must have extensive knowledge and demonstrated capability of Market Data suppliers and provision of Market Data across a broad range of suppliers.
      • Self-sufficient team player and flexible to changing priorities.
      • Ability to use own initiative when problem solving, including ability to identify risks, propose actions to mitigate and support implementation.
      • Good analytical and numeracy skills.
      • Experience with DACS and EMRS administration a plus.
      • Experience in contract and pricing negotiations.
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
      • Keen attention to detail and the ability to work independently to meet deadlines.
      • Commitment to the highest ethical standards.
