      Our process

      Discovery & Needs Analysis

      The retained search starts with discovery meetings with the key stakeholders involved in the appointment. We’ll work hand in hand with you to craft an intimate understanding of precisely what requirements your firm has for the hire and to make sure we have alignment with your business on the objectives for the search. We’ll typically seek to meet a range of stakeholders to build a comprehensive view of both your business & the key traits of successful individuals within it, including the culture of the firm and the management style. Discussions & interviews with the stakeholders will allow us to build a full picture of the objectives and expectations.

      Candidate Profile & Specification Development

      Following the discovery meetings, we’ll work with you to define a target candidate blueprint and to build a comprehensive job specification that clearly encapsulates the role and how we can best position the opportunity to the external market. Our candidate profile will be a fully scoped analysis of the experience, competencies and soft skills required for success in the role, including qualifications and professional track-record. The job specification will be an assimilation of our discovery meetings and will be crafted to frame the responsibilities, purpose and objectives for the position. We’ll also start devising our strategy and pitch to the market.

      Candidate Interviews & Assessments

      During the next phase of the search, our research team will conduct market mapping exercises to build a comprehensive candidate pool. We’ll contact and interview target candidates and evaluate them thoroughly, building a comprehensive understanding of their strengths & weaknesses, values, personalities, skills and competencies. During this phase we’ll identify benchmark candidates and ensure a full-picture bio is assembled for each target candidate.

      Presentation of Candidate Shortlist

      We’ll present our shortlist of candidates including their resume materials, our executive summaries & interview analysis and the material data-points to support you in evaluating each submission. We’ll provide our counsel as to which professionals from this pool of potential candidates we’d most recommend for you to include within the formal process.

      Scheduling Client Interviews

      Once the interview process has been agreed (stages, timeline, blocked interview times etc.), we’ll introduce you to the candidates you’d like to commence interviewing. The structured interview process will be followed, up until the point in which finalist candidates conduct their last interviews.

      Offer, Negotiation & Closing

      We’ll work with you during the process of crafting and presenting an offer to the preferred candidate, supporting you at each step to ensure the best likelihood of a successful outcome and accepted offer. We can be as involved in the negotiations as you like and can mediate for both parties if desired.

      Transition Support

      Our partnership doesn’t end at the moment the preferred candidate signs their offer letter. We’ll be in close contact with both parties during the resignation process, the ramp-up-to-start period, onboarding and post-placement to ensure a smooth and successful transition.
